Vintage Finds
My mom and I drove to the Tulsa Vintage Show this weekend. It was my first time to go to this particular show and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
It was great!
Tons of booths with everything from chippy salvaged pieces to beautiful flow blue platters. There was also antique furniture, stuff found on a farm, vintage jewelry, and so much more.
I bought this small white platter with really pretty crazing in the finish…..
I also bought this square gold frame….
This twiggy (nest?) wreath isn’t vintage, but I loved its shape and size…..
I know that these Scrabble tiles and holders have been around for awhile, but this is the first one I’ve bought….
I also got some extra letters to spell out a few other words and phrases….like this nod to our local NBA team….
In one booth, I spied this vintage mirror. It has some “antiqued” spots (which I love) and a hanger already on the back. It also has some weird “$4.00 haircut” sign written in bronze paint (which I don’t love).
I’m hoping that the paint will come off easily….
I’m pretty sure this is a chicken feed trough. I intend to clean it up, seal it, and turn it into a shelf…..
And finally, what may be my favorite find of the day, is this pair of vintage corbels with a wonderfully chippy finish….
The Vintage Tulsa Show comes around only once a year and I’ll definitely be planning another trip next February.
It was a fun day spent “junkin” with my mom. And I got all this loot for $65.00!
I’ll be sure to show you what I end up doing with some of these pieces, so stay tuned!
