Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookies

My boys and I decided to bake some Valentine cookies today.

I found this recipe in the bag with my cookie cutters.

It was titled “The Best Sugar Cookies in the World”. I was thinking that with a title like that, these had to be good!

I’m not sure who gave me this cookie recipe, but here it is….

 

We used a flower and a heart cookie cutter. The tulips are probably more suited to Easter or spring, but hey, flowers go with V-day too, right?

 

 

We covered the cookies with sugar sprinkles and then baked them….

 

Of course, my youngest son wanted to add all 6 colors plus some extra multicolored sprinkles to his……

After the cookies cooled, we iced some of them with cream cheese frosting.

I used a new recipe that I found here.

Having not tasted every other sugar cookie recipe out there, I can’t say for sure whether these are really the “Best Sugar Cookies in the World” 🙂 , but they were pretty good!

And the little guy’s extra-special, multi-colored cookie didn’t last too long once it came out of the oven!

 

We’ll be taking a few cookies to my grandmother and one of my uncles tomorrow.
