My House Was Egged
My house was egged…. Easter egged, that is!
We found this sign in the front yard.
I don’t know how well the writing on the sign will show up when I publish this, so if you can’t see it, it says:
You have been egged!!
There are 21 eggs hidden in your yard.
Have fun hunting them.
Don’t be discouraged when you find the empty egg.
It’s a simple reminder that Jesus’ tomb is empty – for He is Risen!
My boys, who are nearly always halfway undressed around the house :), reading the sign that was left by the mystery person(s).
(Oh man, do I need to sweep the front porch again! I think every dead leaf on the street ends up on my porch. I thought that raking was supposed to be a Fall time activity!)
Anyways… I love this idea and my boys really enjoyed the early egg hunt.
My younger son is certain that it was the Easter bunny who visited our yard. But I know who the mystery people really are and I want to give a big “thanks” to my sister and my niece and nephew for egging my house.
Happy Easter!
What a great idea! I love things that give you the opportunity to use to open up for discussions.
My boys loved it too! Kept asking me if I did it or daddy! Was a witness to the neighbor girl as she came over and read the sign and helped try to find the few eggs not found! We did find egg number 21 the next morning!
Thanks Guys!
