Christmas Home Tour – Part 1: Entry and Porch
Are you a Christmas minimalist or do you really deck the halls…and the bathrooms…and the laundry room….and every place in between? I think I’m probably somewhere in the middle. I love to decorate for Christmas, but I generally keep it in all the main living areas in our home. It does, however, tend to take me a couple of weeks to get it all the way I like it. But for me, it’s fun!
Today’s Christmas home tour will just be the entryway and the front porch. This post is pretty picture-heavy, so I’ll keep my words brief and just let the Christmas-y images speak for themselves:)
First, the porch:
I kept things pretty simple….
I did dress up my chippy little statue, though. Isn’t he cute in his Santa hat?
The next part of the Christmas home tour is the entryway:
This is one of my favorite spots to decorate….
This dresser is my newest makeover and you can see more of it and my handmade Nativity set, here.
And I just noticed that our elf-on-the-shelf snuck into my photos!
I made this Advent calendar several years ago, and this is one of my kids’ favorite Christmas things…
The chandelier is dressed in a few evergreen branches…
The house lit up at night:
Wow! How hard is it to take pictures of Christmas lights? This is the first year I’ve taken photos of my home all decked out for Christmas using something other than an iPhone. I can really tell the difference, but there’s still a pretty steep learning curve with a “real” camera. And pictures at night are tough for me to get right.
For the outside, we do a very simple lit garland, some wreaths and candelabra, plus a few strings of lights in the bushes…
I hope you enjoyed part 1 of my Christmas home tour and maybe even got a good idea or two.
My Christmas living room is up next in part 2.
So beautiful!!
Thank you!
