Christmas Home Tour – Part 3: Dining Room

I hope you are completely ready for Christmas and able to enjoy the last few days leading up to the big day.

No? Well, neither am I:)

Actually, all of my shopping is finally done and I’ve already wrapped most of the gifts, so that feels like a pretty big accomplishment. All that’s left now, is to clean and do some cooking. I think that’s doable!

If you have a couple of minutes, here is the final installment of my Christmas home tour…the dining room. I’ll keep this pretty brief and just let the pictures speak for themselves.

This is my Welsh cupboard dressed for Christmas. I’ve added some fresh greens to the top with some vintage ornaments and magnolia leaves sprinkled throughout….

Here’s my favorite one: “Eight maids-a-milking…

In one corner of the dining room, I have an antique cabinet that I refinished a few years ago with new stain and some cream colored milk paint. I keep a chalkboard sitting on top and I change it with the seasons…

 

Three simple wire wreaths hang on my dining room windows; a larger one in the center and two smaller ones on the sides. They are truly simple and each is made from a metal coat hanger that I added some preserved boxwood to. I clipped on a vintage silver candle clip and used a battery-powered candle. They are hung with twine…

For the table, I went with a box of faux greens with candles, vintage ornaments, and a little cast iron sheep. Some deer and other natural elements round out this simple arrangement…

On a whim, I decided to hang these glittery snowflake ornaments from my chandelier and I love the effect…

Ok, just two more photos before you go…I rarely do much decorating in my kitchen because I really need every square inch in there. This year, I hung a few snips of evergreen on the chandelier and added an ornament tied with a bow made from a strip of blue and white ticking fabric. A little ironstone cup with a white candle in it sits on the window sill and finishes out the Christmas décor in here…
